LYCRA® fiber is the trademark for

Personal Care products.
LYCRA® XA® fiber technical features
It can be stretched up to 5-7 times its initial length,
yet it springs back to its original length once tension is
released.
It is both stronger and more durable than rubber.
It is produced in dull white, semi-transparent and bright
and clear versions, as well as in a wide range of yarn counts,
from 8 to 2500 decitex.
It can be produced in several colors.
It belongs to the generic elastane classification of man-made
fibers (known as spandex in the US and Canada).
It can be described in chemical terms as segmented polyurethane.
It is composed of flexible segments bonded together with
rigid segments (This gives it built-in, long-lasting elasticity).
Though it appears to be a single, continuous filament,
it is in reality a bundle of tiny filaments.
Decitex is a metric term used to express the thickness of
a yarn - it refers to the weight. in grams, of 10,000 metres
of yarn.
