LYCRA® fiber is the registered trademark for the man-made elastane fiber produced exclusively by INVISTA, LYCRA® XA® fiber is LYCRA® fiber that has been specifically engineered for the "extra adhesion" needed when elasticizing nonwoven materials such as modern Personal Care products.

LYCRAŽ XAŽ fiber consumer benefits

  • The shape of the LYCRAŽ XAŽ fiber stress-strain curve illustrates a uniform level of compression over a broad elongation range.


  • Diapers made with LYCRAŽ XAŽ can accommodate most sizes, providing fit and comfort for almost all babies.


  • Adult incontinence products elasticized with LYCRAŽ XAŽ fit closer to the body, resulting in near invisibility under clothing and better containment characteristics.


  • Using LYCRAŽ XAŽ yarns on a relatively wide (1 .5 - 2 cm) band distributes the pressure over a larger surface, improving containment and decreasing pressure on the skin.


  • Intensive patch tests show that LYCRAŽ XAŽ is totally free of irritants and allergens.


  • It is unaffected by common substances such as urine, perspiration, lotions, soaps or detergents.
